Allowing BMX Bicycles At Wickenburg Skate Park Petition
For more information please visit: www.wickenburgbmx.blogspot.com
To: The City Of Wickenburg City Council
We, the undersigned, support allowing BMX Bicycles in at the Wickenburg Skate Park at Coffinger Park in the city of Wickenburg, Az.
It is a common misconception that BMX bicycles in skate parks create a dangerous environment. BMX bicycles are equipped with brakes and are highly maneuverable, making them at least as safe as the skateboards and inline skates that are permitted in most skateparks. Many cities around the country already recognize this by permitting BMX bicycles into publicly funded skateparks, where they co exist with other skatepark users. Countless private skateparks already demonstrate that any and all skatepark designs are compatible with BMX bicycles.
For all of the reasons above and more, we, the undersigned, recognize to allow BMX bicycles at the Wickenburg Skate Park and allow BMX bicycles to have a place that is accessible and safe, where BMX bicyclists may enjoy their sport.

Welcome to the Bike, Blade & Board Coalition.
Our goals are:
To encourage and assist cities in building more and bigger skate/bike parks to prevent overcrowding.
To encourage and assist cities in building skate/bike parks using qualified, experienced skatepark designers and builders.
To work with youth-centered organizations, such as churches and YMCA's, to assist them in meeting their objectives while encouraging unity among skateboarders, bike riders, and inline skaters.
To encourage and assist cities in building skate/bike parks that separate participants by ability rather than user type.
We need your help! Click on your city to find out what we're doing there and how you can assist us in meeting our goals.

BMX threatened in Wickenburg

Rumours abound that the Wickenburg police are now enforcing the no bikes policy at Wickenburg skatepark. Please contact(or have your parents contact) anyone you know in Wickenburg government. If this park gets shut down to BMX it will all be due to inaction on your parts during this early period. Please act now.
It is a distinct possibility that this threat is in response to the noises of a porcine nature that a rider made as a police officer was driving by the skatepark. It behoves the BMX community of Wickenburg to strongly encourage this individual to go to the police station and apologize. This level of stupidity is a sure way to get the scene busted.
